We had to ride gondolas to and from the top of the mountain where the wedding took place. It was also traversed by lots of hikers and mountain bikers. After people asked us way to many times if we were up there for a wedding we started saying that we were trying to start a new trend called “Formal Hiking.”

Just returned from my cousin’s wedding in Vail, CO. I’m generally not a fan of weddings, but my cousin and his new wife are such a great couple I had a blast!

We got up to the top of the mountain earlier than everyone else because my parent’s had to set up to do the music. I spent most of the time waiting gazing out at the mountains because I miss living in CO. I didn’t take too many pictures of the ceremony, I left that to the official wedding photographer. :)

eskiworks:

I created this special sticker design 2 years ago to help the displaced families (animal and human alike) who were victims of the Fourmile Canyon Fire. Because of the sale of those stickers, I was able to donate three times the amount of money I alone could have donated to Red Cross and to the Boulder Humane society. This year, our beautiful state has been hit by many more wildfires and I wanted to help again. This fire season has been particularly destructive with the High Park and Waldo Canyon fires, and many more raging across the state.
You will receive this unique, vibrant and durable sticker in the mail for your five dollar donation. 100% of the proceeds will be donated the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation to help them fight against the flames.
Help me to help Colorado’s Fire Fighters! Click the photo or click here to get one!

While I’m currently in another state, I consider Colorado my home and it’s been breaking my heart to see all the pictures and reports of it so devastated by fire.  Please consider contributing to my friend Katie’s fundraiser! If not through her, then some of the other organizations accepting donations to help out.
